Rights Group Stir Dust Over New Ooni's Credibility

Ife, fresh crisis is allegedly brewing over the competency of the Ooni
of Ife elect, Prince Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Daily Independence reports that the human rights group called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase to arrest the monarch in waiting over allegation of a N400m fraud.
Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaima, the executive chairman of the group said Prince Ogunwusi should not have been selected to ascend to the Stool of Ooni when he had a N400m forgery allegation hanging over his head
Sulaima made this statement while addressing a press conference at the International Press Centre (IPC), Ogba, Lagos.
On Wednesday, November 18, the comrade cited a pending petition by Rotimi Jacobs & Co Chambers, dated Monday, September 7th, 2015.
The petition entailed a N400 million forgery allegation which was raised against Prince Enitan.
It was stated that the prince duped the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade Olubuse II, over Royal Estate.
The activist insisted that it was wrong to select Prince Ogunwusi as Ooni when he had a criminal allegation hanging over his head.
